Prayer Team
CUMC has formed a prayer ministry as a faith-based community. As members of the body of Christ the organizers felt a nudge by the Holy Spirit to come together intentionally and join in prayer. This is a group where safety and confidentiality are strictly upheld. The church ministry staff shares prayer concerns with the members* of this ministry. These members are committed to intentionally and expressly lifting up these concerns in prayer. This may be done individually or by coming together as a small group to pray together. Frequently this prayer time is offered at the church’s labyrinth.
Member Care
We have a variety of groups that are dedicated to caring for our members.
Homebound/Hospital Visits
Visiting members who can not come to church is an important part of what we do. We want each of our members to remain connected to their church even when they are unable to attend. Below is how we serve our homebound or hospitalized members:
- Homebound Communion
- Homebound Meals
- Homebound DVD Deliveries
- Hospital Visits
Meal Ministry
Like any gathering, our church community loves to break bread together and fellowship with one another. Meal opportunities include:
- Wednesday Night Meals
- Biscuit Patrol (morning biscuits and coffee before Sunday School)
- St. Peters Guild (a ministry that provides meals for families who have lost a loved one)
